East of England Regional Council nominations 2019 - Now Open

BMA members in the East of England will be in receipt of an email regarding the Regional Council nominations and there will be further mailings sent centrally from the BMA.   

Nominations are now open for new expanded regional councils in the 10 English regions. BMA East of England Regional Council will have 25 voting seats – with 23 seats now up for election to join the two national BMA Council members elected from the region. 

The East of England is a huge geography, reaching from Kings Lynn to Watford, and Southend to Great Yarmouth, and covering the counties of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk, and Norfolk.  

BMA members can stand for election to the new expanded regional council, and once nominations are in, can vote on who gets elected. There is a central webpage for the regional council elections which you can reach via the following link:

Nominations open – 9am, 22 July 2019
Nominations close – 12pm, 19 August 2019
Voting opens – 9am, 27 August 2019
Voting closes – 12pm, 23 September 2019
